Kids Helmets Available

Wearing a properly-fitted helmet dramatically decreases your risk of a head injury while riding a bicycle. The Marysville Fire District has custom-fitted bicycle and multi-sport helmets available while supplies last. Visit our Administration Office at 1094 Cedar Avenue for a fitting Monday through Friday between 8am and 4pm.

A helmet will only protect your child if it’s actually worn and properly fitted every time they ride.

Here’s how to properly adjust a helmet:

Step 1: Eyes

Put the helmet on your head and look up.

You should see the bottom rim of the helmet.

The helmet should be level on the head and within two fingers of the eyebrow.

Step 2: Ears

Make the straps form a "V" under your ears.

They should be tight but comfortable.

Step 3: Mouth

Open your mouth as wide as you can. Does the helmet hug your head?

If not, tighten the straps.
