The Marysville Fire District uses social media sites (including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and NextDoor) as one way to communicate with the public. Anyone accessing, browsing or using a Fire District social media site accepts the District’s social media policies.
Marysville Fire District social media sites are limited public forums moderated by district staff. We encourage public conversation on the District’s social media accounts, with these guidelines:
Keep it civil. No obscenity, vulgarity, hate speech or offensive, threatening or harassing language, personal attacks or unsupported accusations.
Avoid off-topic posts.
No political statements, including comments that support or endorse a candidate, ballot proposition or political party.
No posts that promote discrimination of any kind.
No posts encouraging illegal activity or information that could compromise public safety or security.
No spam, advertising, or solicitations to buy/sell goods and services.
No inappropriate links.
No infringement on copyrights or trademarks.
The Marysville Fire District reserves the right to remove posted content or restrict users as deemed necessary.
If you have an emergency, please call 911. We are unable to respond to emergency requests on social media platforms as they are not monitored 24/7.
The opinions expressed by visitors to to the District's social media platforms do not reflect the opinions of the Marysville Fire District or its parent agencies the City of Marysville and Snohomish County Fire District 12. Any comments submitted to this site and any lists of users or links are public records subject to disclosure pursuant to the Public Records Act (RCW 42.56).
